a. Be at least 21 years old
b. US Citizen
c. Believe in God
d. No felonies
How can I join the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks – BPOE ?
a. If you know a member, speak to them about your interest. The member will assist you in getting application filled out
b. If you do not know a member and are interested in joining our lodge you can do one of the following
i. Stop by the lodge and request an application.
ii. Submit your information here.
Information will be sent directly to Newport News Lodge #315.

Note:
1) If you do not know a current member, we will assign a mentor to assist you in completing the process.
2) There is a $25.00 application fee required with a completed application.
3) Your application will be presented at the next lodge meeting for a vote by the membership. If accepted for membership, you will be scheduled for Orientation and Initiation. Annual dues will be discussed with you.
Does the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks – BPOE offer scholarships ?
a. The BPOE offers several scholarships that are available to seniors.
b. Each year, Newport News Lodge sends scholarship information to the local high schools. Any senior who is interested can contact their school’s guidance office for information.

Does Newport News Lodge rent out social hall for outside events ?
Due to the size of the facilities, we do not, at this time, rent out our social hall.
Does Newport News Elks Lodge have activities that are open to the public ?
a. Yes. There are a number of events during the year that the Newport News lodge has that are open to the public
